I enjoy drinking coffee with sweet desserts, but I haven’t done successfully in Taiwan. Here I’m well equipped with good oven and tutor, my nephew, who is going to work for Four Season Hotel as a bakery. The recipe is my first trial, it’s easy and simple for beginner. Trust me, you can make it.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Sugar 500g Oatmeal flakes 500g
Butter ( soft ) 765g Cake flour 500g
Vanilla extract 5g Raisins 300g
Salt 5g Baking soda 20g
  1. Soak the raisins in the water and squeeze the water before adding.
  2. Cream the butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt with a paddle untill light and fluffy. About 10~15 minutes.
  3. Sift cake flour and baking soda. Add oatmeal and raisins. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the butter mixture ( step 2 ) to the flour mixture ( step 3 ) and mix until well combined.
  5. Scale 40g each and roll into a ball. Push down slightly on baking tray.
  6. Bake at 177C ( 350F) about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool before removing Ofrom tray.
They serve about 60 pcs.

Almond Flour Brownies get Paleo-friendly makeover

  • 1/2 butter
  • 2 oz semi sweet chocolate
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup + 3 tbsp almond flour
  • 2 tbsp pure cocoa powder

  1. butter and 8 in square baking dish and pre heat oven to 350 F.
  2. in a glass bowl, melt butter and chocolate in microwave for a minute or two, allow to cool.
  3. whisk in molasses, eggs, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, almond flour and cocoa powder. Pour into pan.
  4. bake for about 22-25 minutes just until edges begin to set.

How to prepare ( Bread Pudding ) at your home


Dear Classmates
As I'm Pastry Chef, And have a lots of special recipes in my mind,
So, I'd like to give you the ingredients for the one of the best kinds of french pastry and I will teach you how to prepare it step by step .
It's too easy and a simple kind of sweet which you can have it at your home and I'm sure that all the ingredients are available in your kitchen.
The name of this sweet dish is (Bread Pudding ).
Ingredients :
1 liter of milk .
11 eggs .
200 g of sugar .
waste (day old) of any kind of bread or croissant or danish pastry or any kind of due .
10 g of cinnamon .
100 g of raisins or dry fruits.

Directions :
1- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2- Paint the high the edges of the pan with melted butter then sprinkle the sugar on it and put it in the refrigerator to chill
3- Mix the milk, eggs, cinnamon, and sugar together very well.
4- Take the prepared template pan back out of the refrigerator and put inside it the waste (day old) of croissant and the raisins .
5- Add the mixture into the template pan and then put it in the preheated oven .
6- Bake about 30 to 35 minutes, until when you can insert a toothpick in the center of the pudding then and it comes out clean.
7- Remove the template pan from the oven and let it to be cool 10 minutes .
8- Take off the Pudding out from of the template pan after it is cooled completely.
9- Paint the top of the Pudding with melted apricot jam .
10- Cut the Pudding into slices then start eating and enjoy .

Hi Busy,
In Canada, Quebec specifically, we call this recipe in French "Pudding Chomeur" or the English call it "Bread Pudding". "Pudding Chomeur" means Pudding for the "Unemployed". When we are not working, we don't want to waste anything. I think this is a great 'green' recipe > Reduce/Reuse/Recycle. Nothing is wasted and 'day old' bread works best for this most delicous recipe. It is my husband's most favourite pudding. I don't have his mother's recipe and I've been trying to make it like hers for many years. I will try your recipe. For a Canadian version, I like to put nutmeg spice and also maple syrup in this pudding.

If cooking is your passion, it is an excellent way to practice your English. Reading recipes, listening to youtube recipes and the cooking channel (not Gordon Ramsey unless you want to make people around you cry!), writing down your recipes in a similar style that you see in Cookbooks, and sharing your passion with others makes a great conversation starter that absolutely so many people love!

Qabli Palaw


The most famous food of Afghan people is Qabli Palaw. In each part of Afghanistan people mostly cook this food in different methods, but I prefer to describe the most common recipe of Qabli Palaw which is as following:


Basmati Rice - 3 cups , Beef - 1 kg,
Onions - 2 pieces , large “chopped”
Cumin seeds (zeera) - 1 tea spoon full “tsp”
Cloves (Mikhak)- 1 tsp
Black pepper - 1 tsp,
Whole Salt – just for taste
Carrots - 2 medium, grated
Raisins- 1/2 cup
Oil - 1/3 cup


Step 1: Heat oil in a pot. Fry chopped onions until it become light brown, but if you would like to have darker Palaw leave it until its color change to dark.

Step 2: Add pieces of meat and fry till it become brown color.

Step 3: Add water, Salt and pepper, cloves and simmer (Stay below the boiling point) till tender.

Remove the meat In a separate pan cocok the grated carrots and Raisin together in oil until brown.

Parboil the rice (boil until dente - do not completely cook the rice!!) and drain the rice in other pot.

Place the rice into a large pan.

Sprinkle cumin seeds. Pour the meat stock over it and stir.

Layer the meat and half of the carrot-raisin mixture over rice.

Cover the pan tightly and place it in a hot over for 40 mins. After this time open cooked dish and put it in a big plate and sprinkle the rest of carrot-raisin mixture on top Qabli palaw and serve.

I am Magnificent, I am Egyptian. My presentation today is about the recipe of Zucchini soup as healthy food.


1 lb zucchini.
1 onion (medium size).
1 tomato(small size)
1 cup plain yogurt.
3 cups chicken broth.
1 vegetable bouillon cube.
1/4 teaspoon black paper.
2 pc Misteka (Arabic flavor with nice smell and taste, it is sold in Arabic stores).
4 tablespoons vegetable oil.

First: peel the zucchini, wash it and tomato also, then cut them into pieces.

Second: peel the onion and dice it, then put it with the vegetable in a small pan and fry it until it is golden.

Third: put the zucchini, fried onion, tomato into a medium sized pot, then add the chicken broth, the vegetable bouillon cube and the black paper.

Fourth: put the pot on the stove. When the contents start to boil decrease the temperature and leave it until it is cooked very well.

Fifth: raise the pot and wait until it is warm, then pour the contents in the mixer and mixed them very well.

Sixth: pour the mixed contents once again through a sieve into the pot , then put it on the stove and lower the heat.
if you find the mix very thick add some hot water as you like it.

Seventh: bit the yogurt until it is very soft and pour it into the pot and mix it with the other contents until it is homogeneous. Add the Misteka and steer to dissolve it and its nice smell comes out.

Eighth: steer the soup from time to time until it starts to boil, then turn the stove off and move the pot away of it.

Finally, pour the soup in the bowl and eat it with my wishes that you enjoy it and be always in good health.

My recipe is about: How to make Basbosa (a traditional Egyptian desert)

First: buy 0.5 kg Semolina flour, 2 table spoons of all-purpose flour,1.5 cup of yogourt,1.5 tea spoons of baking powder, 2 table spoons of minced coconut,1 cup of melt gee,1 cup of sugar.
The sugar syrup: 1.5 cup of sugar, 1.5 cup of water and three drops of vanilla.
For decoration: 100 g peeled almond or hazelnut.

Second: put all the ingredients in a big bowel except the ingredients of the sugar syrup and mix all very well by a spoons to be a soft paste.

Third: bring rectangular tray and put 1 tea spoon of gee on its bottom and distribute gee by a small
soft brush in order to cover all the bottom.

Fourth: prepare the oven 15 minutes before you start the baking. Adjust the temperature to 350 f .

Fifth:pour the Basbosa paste in the tray. The height of the paste in the tray should not exceed 1.5 cm
(it rises in the oven). Spread the almond/hazelnut on top of the paste.

Sixth:put the tray on the middle shelf of the oven till the surface of the paste becomes golden. Get the tray out of the oven and put it on a cool surface. Allow the Basbosa to cool while you prepare the sugar syrup.

Seventh: put a small pot on the stove and pour the ingredients of the sugar syrup in it. Steer by a spoon to dissolve the sugar completely. Leave the syrup to boil for 5 minutes. Turn the stove off, add the vanilla to the very hot syrup and pour it immediately on the Basbosa, starting from the edge of the tray to the middle, little by little, and repeat that again till the syrup is finished.

2- Make a cute carrot side by tucking together a carrot stick and a broccoli floret for the leafy top.

4-For the fruit side, slice an apple and peel a thick strip on each slice halfway back. Then cut a “V” shape to make bunny apple ears.

5- Corn- stuffed tomatoes and a mortadella flower round out the bunny bento.

FIRST, buy some fruit like strawberries, mangoes, banana
Second, wash the fruit.

Third, cut all the fruit into bite sized pieces.

Next, put the fruit in the bowl.

Then, mix together with a little honey.

Finally, put it on a plate and serve to your family.

My snack: kowshary with hot souse


rice 400 gram
pasta 400 gram
chick peas (homos) 200 gram
black ades 200 gram
tomato souse 4 cup
cumin powder 1 tsp
red chili powder 1 tbsp
salt 1 tsp
coriander 1 tsp
onion 2 no.
tomato 4 no.
garlic souse
oil 100 gram
Green salad (tomato, carrot, onion, big green chili, hot chili, Limon)

  1. Buy all ingredients then put rice, pasta, homos, and black ades all to boil with water and separate.
  2. Prepare tomato souse using vegetable oil, onion, salt, hot chili, coriander.
  3. Prepare garlic souse using chopped garlic with cumin and salt or lemon.
  4. Prepare green salad
  5. Put in plat after washing(pasta, rice, chick peas and black ades) with clean water and souse as you want, put roasted onion on the top and green salad as you want.

boiled chickpeas ½ kg
yogurt ½ kg
boiled potatoes 2
boondi (tiny gram flour dumplings) 1 cup (soaked)
tamarind pulp ½ cup
cumin seeds 1 tsp
green chili paste 1 tbsp
roasted cumin 2 tsp
salt ½ tsp
onion as required
tomato as required
green chilies as required
mint leaves as required


Buy all ingredients then Beat yogurt with roasted cumin, green chili paste and salt.
spread boiled chickpeas in a large bowl, top with beaten yogurt.
now top with soaked boondi and boiled potatoes cut to cubes.
now spread tamarind pulp, chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilies and mint leaves on top.
then mixed all of them in a large bowl and mouth watering Pakistani dish ready to eat.

Recipe, Japanese TOFU

1 litre of soya bean milk
8 whole eggs
Salt and white pepper according to taste
Mix all together for 3 minutes with whisker or electric mixer.

POUR all in a flat glass or alluminium round or square plate coated with cling film covering the border of the plate.
In a boiling steamer which fits the plage for 12 minutes.
Let it complete cool. Turn plate upside down of cold steamed tofu in another plate of of same size. Peel off cling film and cut into pieces with a sharp knife.
Can be cooked in vegetarian chopsui or deep fry in hot oil before making any dishes you wish.
Can be chopsui, can be sweet and sour sauce with tomatoes. Can also be eaten natural.
SAME can be made into a dessert by adding sugar and vanilla instead of salt and pepper.

2 cups Flattened Rice
1 tea spoon Mustard seeds
4-5 Green curry leaves
1 large onion
1 large tomato
¼ cup pea nuts
3-4 green chillies
¾ tea spoon turmeric powder
2 table spoon lime juice
2 table spoon cooking oil
Salt (to taste)
¼ cup chopped coriander leaves

Soak flattened rice in water for one minute, drain and squeeze them. Heat oil in a thick surface pan. In hot oil put mustard seeds, when they start crackling add chopped onions. When onions start changing colour add chopped tomatoes and cook them for one minute. Now add curry leaves, peanuts, chopped green chillies and turmeric powder. Add salt according to taste and mix well. Now put soaked flattened rice in pan and mix well. Cook them 3-4 minutes and keep them moving continuously so they do not stick to pan. Now sprinkle lime juice, add chopped coriander leaves for garnishing and serve hot.

How to prepare decilious Chipotle meatballs

Step 1.You have to buy the ingredients in your favorite groceries store. All you need is:
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ onion
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo (you can find it in the section of canned)
  • 2 tablespoons of the adobo sauce
  • 1 pound of ground pork
  • ½ cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 tablespoons of cotija cheese of parmesan cheese
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of chopped cilantro
  • Salt and black pepper
Step 2.Preheate the oven at 375°F (190°C)
Step 3. Then, in the food processor/ blender mix the next ingredients:
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Chipotle peppers
  • Adobo sauce
  • You have to wait until puree
Step 4.Into a large bowl add the ground pork and the puree. After that you have to add the breadcrumbs, eggs, cheese, herbs and some salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients to combine.
Step 5.When the mix is ready shape it into meatballs and lining them up on the baking sheet as you go.
Step 6.Bake until meatballs are cooked and lightly browned. It will take around 20 minutes.
Step 7.Serve the meatballs on toothpick or serve as you desired.
Step 8.You can serve it with any dressing that you prefer.
Step 9.Enjoy it with friends

First step: Go to the shop to buy beans, ingredients, meat and vegetable. If you have at home that’s fine
Second step: check the beans to separate the good seed and the bad
Third: Before you go bed, put the beans in the water to reduce the cooking time
Fourth: In the morning put the beans in the cooking electrical pot
Fifth: Add onion, wing, salted and bay leaves, magic cube, etc…..
Sixth: Turn on your stove and wait for one hour or two before to add sauce
Seventh: Put the pot in the second place in the stove, adds Canola oil, wait above four or five minutes and add the ingredients (tomato, onion, pepper and parsleys,
Eighth: Wait approximately six and nine minutes before mixture
Ninth: Leave the pot in the stove and waiting for the rice or semolina flour
Tenth: Put beans in the big bowl or plate, arrange the table and invite the guest for eating

Steps of making dumplings

step 1. Preparing the stuffing, what kind of ingredients will be used?
Normally, we use vegetables,meat,seafood and seasoing.
Vegetables are cabbage,cowpea,mushrooms,green beans,shallot...
Meat will be pork,beef,lamb and sometimes eggs...
About seafood, shrimps is widely used or even lobsters,scallop...
Rape oil or Oliver oil, sea salt,soy sauce,sesame oil,ginger powder are necessary as seasoning.
Step 2. Slice the vegetables,meat,seafood as small pieces as you can.
Step 3. Put everthing into a basin and add the seasoning based on your taste then stir in ONLY one direction.
Step 4. Preparing the crust-- two ways to get it: 1: buy the ready-made directly from a Chinese supermarket or,
2: Do it yourself. If DIY, using bread-maker to prepare the dough, cutting the dough into
small size and each of them is as large as your palm and the tickness should within 1mm.
Step 5. It's time to put the stuffing into the crust.
Put proper sized stuffing at the middle of the crust and use your finger to pinch along the edge of the crust tightly. Done.
Step 6. Cooking the dumplings. Put the dumplings into a pot with boiled water, when the water boiled again, add cold water in, do this action
twice until the dumpling becomes fat, during the cooking, NO cover at any time.

Creme fraiche is not really very healthy ... but will make you happy!
It can be made very easily with heavy cream, sour cream or buttermilk ... and it is left out on the counter overnight to thicken.
The next morning, you can put it in the fridge and keep it if you can for up to 10 days.
You can use this thick cream (like whipping cream, but a bit tart) on fresh fruit, or even in hot creme sauces.
I will leave it up to you to google the recipe because there are many versions... all no doubt delicious.

I saw this recipe done at the Ocean's store:

Enoki Mushroom Appetizer

1 package Enoki Mushrooms cut into 1 centimeter strips with scissors
2 eggs
salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp green onion sliced thin

Mix ingredients all together in a bowl.
Add a little oil to a fry pan and heat.
Drop mixture by tablespoon onto a hot fry pan and fry both sides until done.

Green Plantain & Eggplant

You can buy these at No Frills. I like to go to No Frills when I see this food which is food from my home in Africa.
Recipes cooking the meal

peal the back of the plantain with knife wash and put in a pot of boilling water add salt and cover the pot and booling for 40-45 minites.
slice the egg plant to a smaller size, pepper,onion, tomatoes all those ones in a separately cut then boil the meats with salt and maggi (boullion cube) .put a groundnut oil and salt on the fry pan on medium heat for 10 minutes.
fry the onion first after 5-7 add pepper, tomatoes, add the maggi cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minites.
add the cooking water from the meat then finally add the sliced eggplant add the meat cover and cook and the dish is ready.
